Mer is an electric car charging solutions provider based in Europe, helping pave the way for cleaner transportation.

The organisation had recently gone through an extensive agency-led rebrand. Mer’s marketing team approached me, in need of a Graphic Designer to take the new guidelines and bring them to life throughout the organisation. With a core objective of clearly communicating the core brand principles of power, positivity and practicality.

The business needed weekly support creating a range of external design assets for multi-channel lead generation campaigns - both digital and print (including externally hosted landing page creation). Mer also required a range of internal employee training material as well as customer facing educational and way-finding materials.

In addition to design needs, Mer required expert support with managing paid LinkedIn campaigns and writing support for SEO optimised blog posts.

Delivery & impact

I took on the responsibility of bringing extensive new brand guidelines to life through a range of assets. And worked out ways to simplify a complex topic through messaging and visuals.

I helped Mer rank quickly for many relevant keywords with optimised blog production (improving domain authority and driving relevant traffic). Throughout my time working with Mer, I was able to offer a fast turnaround for multi-channel campaign assets, ensuring marketing team was able to deliver target lead quantities.

Process & approach

Research

Prior to starting any campaign design task for Mer I carried out research into the target market and their current concerns and needs. Mer runs a range of campaigns to target their different markets - commercial, public, landowners, councils and more.

Conceptualise

After research and an in-depth brief from the marketing team, I looked for inspiration and developed visual campaign concepts, working within reasonable boundaries of the brand guidelines.

Application

I wove each concept through a range of digital and print assets for a range of campaigns.
