  • Branding

I developed a brand concept and visual identity that positions Periphery Coffee as the place to discover flavours “beyond the usual cup.”

Periphery Coffee branded coffee bags and tote bag

Periphery Coffee is a concept brand for a London café offering adventurous, globally-inspired coffee experiences aimed at curious, quality-seeking locals.

This demonstrated how the concept could scale into a recognisable, community-focused brand.

The problem

Many London neighbourhoods rely on generic high-street coffee chains, leading to repetitive flavour profiles and limited cultural connection.

The challenge was to create a brand identity that

  • Encourages exploration and curiosity
  • Feels independent and community-rooted
  • Expresses global flavour influences without feeling gimmicky

My solution

Brand Identity

  • Defined purpose, values, and tone of voice around curiosity and cultural exploration
  • Created logo concepts, colour palette, and typography system
  • Developed visual language inspired by travel labels, passport stamps, and coffee origin markers

Application

  • Designed mockups across café collateral (menus, cups, signage, posters)
  • Extended visual identity into social content and in-store brand moments
