Mainstream travel media often promotes fast-paced itineraries, popular destinations, and surface-level experiences. This leaves little room for travellers who want to slow down, explore lesser-known places, and build a deeper connection with the environments and cultures they visit. The challenge was to create a travel publication that encourages intentional travel, values immersion over speed, and appeals to readers looking for a more thoughtful alternative to conventional travel magazines.
Case study
Slow Travel
I created a magazine concept centred on the idea of slowing down — spending longer in fewer places to build a stronger connection with local environments and cultures.

Slow Travel is a conceptual travel magazine created as part of a Shillington College project in Manchester, focused on non-conformist travellers seeking deeper, more meaningful travel experiences.
